Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using CartWise ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use the App. The App is operated by Brevify ("we," "our," or "us").

2. Description of Service

CartWise is a receipt scanning and price tracking application designed for warehouse shoppers. The App uses AI technology to extract data from receipt photos, tracks price history, and provides alerts for potential price adjustments. CartWise is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Costco Wholesale Corporation.

3. Account Registration

You must create an account using your email address and password to access the full features of the App. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account and for all activities that occur under your account. You must be at least 13 years old to create an account.

4. Subscriptions & Payments

CartWise offers a free tier and a premium subscription ("CartWise Pro").

  • Pricing: CartWise Pro is available for $9.99 per month or $99.99 per year.
  • Billing: On iOS, subscriptions are billed through Apple's App Store. On Android and web, subscriptions are billed through Stripe.
  • Renewal: Subscriptions automatically renew unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
  • Cancellation: You can manage and cancel subscriptions in your account settings or through the respective app store. No refunds will be provided for the current billing period.
  • Household sharing: A single subscription covers all members of a household (up to 6 members). This is managed within the App.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the App for any unlawful purpose
  • Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App
  • Upload fraudulent, manipulated, or fabricated receipt images
  • Use automated systems or bots to interact with the App
  • Interfere with or disrupt the App's infrastructure
  • Share your account credentials with others outside your household

6. Intellectual Property

The App, including its design, features, code, and content, is owned by Brevify and is protected by intellectual property laws. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the App for personal, non-commercial purposes.

7. Disclaimer of Warranties

The App is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee the accuracy of AI-extracted receipt data, price tracking information, or price adjustment alerts. You are responsible for verifying all data and claims before taking action. We are not responsible for any denied price adjustment claims.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Brevify shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of your use of the App, including but not limited to lost savings, missed price adjustments, or inaccurate data.

9. Data Retention

Receipt images are retained for 90 days and then automatically deleted. Extracted receipt data is retained as long as your account is active. You may request deletion of your account and all associated data at any time.

10. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms. You may delete your account at any time through the App's settings. Upon termination, your data will be deleted in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

11. Changes to Terms

We may modify these Terms at any time. We will notify you of material changes through the App. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, United States, without regard to conflict of law principles.
